Healing Chair

The design of this chair exposes the user. It creates a feeling of vulnerability, which also implies trust. The form is inspired by BDSM furniture, which is itself inspired by the design of birthing chair. The separated legs allow access to the body of the seated person, either for sex or for childbirth. The line between pleasure and pain is blurred. Growth occurs in the space between absolutes. Pressure, release, birth and death.
